To rise above and move beyond
Ignite your belly fire
Catch the winds as they go
Watch them take you higher
If in troubled winds you land,
Be sure to keep in mind
They’re carrying you where you’re meant to be
So, leave your past behind
Don’t let your troubles weigh you down
That’s a battle you’ve got to win
If need be, just take it slow
Correct that downward spin
When finally, you’re past the clouds
your vision’s crystal clear
All your monsters big and small
No longer need be feared
Once at the top, enjoy the show
But remember, dear
Others wait in need of help
to free them of their fear!
This is a beautiful inspiring poem even for an adult. I particularly liked how “slowing down” is also mentioned in the same breath as “flying higher”. Such priceless gems hidden here.
Thank you so much for your encouraging comment, Jaya. Finding that middle path needs introspection, right?
